City Community Legal Advice Centre (City CLAC) is a University Community Legal Advice Centre based at The City Law School, City St George's which is part of the University of London. At City CLAC, students, staff and external lawyers volunteer to provide free legal advice and assistance to individuals who are not eligible for legal aid and cannot afford to pay for legal advice. City CLAC covers a wide variety of areas of law including private family law issues, employment, housing disrepair, civil litigation, personal injury and immigration.

South Westminster Legal Advice Centre (SWLAC) provides free legal advice to people on low incomes in London. SWLAC is entirely volunteer run and operates two in-person clinics per week on Tuesday and Thursday evenings in Westminster. The service supports clients with legal issues relating to employment, family, consumer, contracts, wills and probate, personal injury and criminal law, among other areas. SWLAC does not provide advice relating to welfare benefits, immigration, debt restructuring or housing law.

Summary of Service

The University of Bolton Legal Advice Bureau (LAB) in collaboration with Bolton Library is a free, student-led public advice service, staffed by law students working under the supervision of experienced volunteer solicitors. We aim to deliver legal support to those members of the local community who cannot afford legal advice or qualify for legal aid. The LAB provides an advice-only service; we cannot offer representation in court or assist those who already have legal representation. We are currently offering appointments in person only at Bolton Library, in the centre of Bolton. At your appointment, you will meet student volunteers and their supervising solicitor who will discuss your matter and offer initial advice. Please email legaladvice@bolton.ac.uk and provide a name, contact telephone number, brief description of your issue and your location. A member of the team will be in touch to discuss the next steps.

We are a small, volunteer led clinic offering free, confidential legal advice in non-urgent matters relating to family law, personal injury and medical negligence. Advice will be given by local qualified solicitors at the Hive. Trained University of Worcester law students will assist the solicitor for example by attending the meeting and taking notes. Advice is given by appointment on a first come, first serve basis. Appointments are subject to our volunteers’ expertise and availability, and we have a limited number of appointments we can offer during term time only (November to May). Please be aware that we are an advice only clinic. This means we are unfortunately unable to provide services such as representation at court or help with drafting documents. Summary of Service

LSE Legal Advice Clinic offers free and confidential, one-off written advice in the areas of family law and employment law. Our service is designed to provide accessible legal advice to the community. Clients will have the option to attend an appointment on campus or online. During the appointment, our trained law students will conduct the interview and subsequently draft a letter of advice. All work is rigorously supervised by practising solicitors and barristers to ensure the highest quality and professionalism. The Clinic also offers one-off verbal advice in the areas of personal injury, contested probate and public protest. Clients will attend an online meeting with a specialist solicitor who will provide one-off advice, shadowed by trained law students. The advice will be confirmed in writing.
