The LawWorks Clinics Team are currently working with Citizens Advice Rotherham & District to support them in setting up a pro bono legal advice clinic to better support their service users access free housing, family and immigration & asylum law legal advice. Although Citizens Advice Rotherham & District can provide general advice, a pro bono clinic is essential in ensuring that their service users can access timely, free housing, family and immigration law advice when required.

Nationality and Citizenship Child registration as a British citizen Naturalisation as a British citizen Confirmation of British nationality and settled status. Securing and maintaining permission to enter and remain in the UK Verifying their immigration status Guiding on applications for recourse to public funds Please note, unfortunately, we cannot advise clients with handling applications for immigration appeals or helping those who have already overstayed their visa. We will try to provide signposting and referrals for those clients we cannot help.

We offer assistance with refugee family reunion applications. If you have obtained refugee status or humanitarian protection and would like to bring your family to the UK, please contact us requesting a referral form. Once we receive your complete referral form, we will provide an assessment of whether and how we can assist and arrange an initial appointment. We provide legal assistance for free and will help you gather your evidence, fill the application forms, and support and represent you throughout all the steps of the application. Please note we can only assist refugees and beneficiaries of humanitarian protection. If you have applied for asylum but have not received a decision on your case yet, we are unable to assist. Please do contact us once you receive a positive decision on your case.
