Summary of Service

After making initial contact with the Clinic you will be contacted by a student volunteer who will take the full details of your matter. These details will then be reviewed by a solicitor who will confirm whether it is a matter we can assist with. If we are able to assist you we will contact you to arrange an appointment, which will normally be on a Monday afternoon or Thursday evening. If we cannot assist in your matter we will signpost you to other services who may be able to help. During the initial appointment you will speak with two student volunteers who will take the full details of your matter. They will draft a letter of advice under supervision which will be provided to you within two weeks of your appointment. Depending on student availability we may also be able to offer additional services, such as drafting mandatory reconsideration requests and representation at appeal hearings.

Summary of Service

We are a small, volunteer led clinic offering free, confidential legal advice in non-urgent matters relating to family law, personal injury and medical negligence. Advice will be given by local qualified solicitors at the Hive. Trained University of Worcester law students will assist the solicitor for example by attending the meeting and taking notes. Advice is given by appointment on a first come, first serve basis. Appointments are subject to our volunteers’ expertise and availability, and we have a limited number of appointments we can offer during term time only (November to May). Please be aware that we are an advice only clinic. This means we are unfortunately unable to provide services such as representation at court or help with drafting documents. We are also unable to advise on the following matters: Domestic violence Inquests Actions against the police

We offer one off 30 minutes limited free advice , we cannot represent or act in any capacity or assist in the completion of any documents , we offer initial advice free of charge and do not offer follow up appointments. We may ask you to provide documents in relation to your matter and request any relevant documents i.e leases , plans , title deeds are provided at the time of your initial enquiry so we are able to interpret the documentation for you . Summary of Service

Birmingham Fraud Clinic (BFC) is a pro bono service that is part of the University of Birmingham's Law School. BFC offers monthly, hour-long appointments on a Wednesday lunchtime, during term time only. These appointments are run by law students and are supervised by qualified lawyers from Tenet Law. Appointments can be held either online via Zoom or in person at The Exchange, 3 Centenary Sq. Following an appointment, students draft a letter of advice, which is approved by a qualified lawyer and the University's supervising solicitor, before being sent to the client. Clients receive this letter of advice within two weeks of their appointment.
